2023 La Chaussynette

£16.40

Mas De Boislauzon La Chaussynette Rouge is a biodynamically farmed blend of Grenache and Syrah from vineyards near Châteauneuf-du-Pape. First released in 2012, this Vin de France is made from hand-harvested grapes grown on clay soils with galets roules. It’s vinified traditionally and aged in tank to preserve freshness and purity, offering exceptional value and structure.

This wine leans into vibrant red-berry fruit — think strawberries, raspberries and cherries — with an undercurrent of fresh herbs and a gently salty mineral edge. The palate is medium-bodied, offering smooth tannins, lively acidity and a finish that feels both elegant and approachable. Altogether, it delivers a bright, youthful character that pairs effortlessly with grilled red meats, relaxed weeknight dinners or simply good company.

Mas de Boislauzon is a family-run estate located just north of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, near the town of Orange in France’s Southern Rhône Valley. The estate has been in the Chaussy family for generations and is known for producing expressive wines that reflect the region’s warm climate and stony, clay-based soils. Farming is certified organic, a commitment the family adopted in 2012, and all grapes are hand-harvested from estate-owned vineyards. Mas de Boislauzon crafts both Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône wines, as well as their accessible La Chaussynette cuvée, each made with traditional Rhône varieties such as Grenache and Syrah.
